The people who check every jacuzzi room

HotelRoomsWithJacuzzi.com is an independent directory of US hotels where you can book a room with its own jacuzzi or private hot tub. Every listing is checked room type by room type by people who have run hotels, inspected them and maintained their hot tubs.

  • 637 hotels checked
  • 34 cities
  • 14 years in hotels behind the checks

Who checks the rooms

Dana Jensenko

Founder & Editor-in-Chief

  • B.S. Hotel Administration, Cornell
  • Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA)
  • Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO)

Dana Jensenko spent fourteen years on the operations side of hotels before starting this site. As rooms-division manager at a 300-room resort in the Poconos, a region built on whirlpool suites, she was responsible for 46 jacuzzi rooms: how they were described on booking sites, how they were cleaned, and what happened when a guest checked in and found a plain bathtub instead of the tub they had paid for.

She then worked for five years as an anonymous inspector for a luxury hotel rating service, staying in more than 300 properties across 28 states and scoring rooms against a 900-point standard. That job taught her where hotels blur the line between a "spa bath", a "soaking tub" and a real jetted tub, and how often the room you book is not the room in the photos.

Dana holds a B.S. in Hotel Administration from Cornell's Nolan School, is a Certified Hotel Administrator, and keeps her Certified Pool & Spa Operator license current, which is why our listings never mix up a jetted bathtub, filled fresh for each guest, with a private hot tub that stays filled and treated.

How every listing is checked

  1. Every room type, one by one. We read each hotel's full list of bookable room types, not its general amenities, and keep only the rooms with their own jetted tub or hot tub.
  2. Name and description must agree. A room sold as a "Whirlpool Suite" whose description lists a jetted tub gets our highest confidence level. A tub that only appears in the amenities is flagged so you check the photos.
  3. Photos and guest reviews. Dana spot-checks room photos and recent guest reviews for every city before it goes live, and every time a hotel's room list changes.
  4. Dated prices. Each price is the lowest nightly rate we saw for that exact jacuzzi room, with the month we saw it.

The details, including what we leave out, are in our methodology.

Independence

We are not owned by a hotel chain or booking site. Links to Hotels.com are affiliate links: if you book, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and that is how the site is paid for. Hotels cannot pay to be listed, to be ranked higher or to change what we say about their rooms. Ranking depends only on how sure we are about the tub and on guest ratings.

Corrections

If a room we list does not have the tub we describe, tell us through the contact form or write to Dana directly. We check every report within two business days and correct the listing, or remove the hotel, the same day we confirm the error.
